HEAD OF OFFICE OF AIRWORTHINESS (M/W/D)

 

Key Responsibilites:

  • Advising all departments of the design organization in all questions regarding airworthiness, environmental protection approvals and certification.
  • Ensuring obtainment and distribution of applicable CS and environmental protection requirements and other specifications and interpretations hereof.
  • Liaise between the design organization and the EASA about Type Investigation and the Type Certification processes.
  • Prepare the Means of Compliance and the type certification program
  • Preparing the Certification Program and co-ordinate all tasks related to Type Investigation in concurrence with EASA.
  • Approving the classification of changes / repairs and certification processes.
  • Ensuring that all test programs and compliance documents are prepared in time, as required by EASA (or other agencies if applicable) to show compliance with all CS, OSD and environmental protection requirements, as well as for completeness and signing for release of the documents.
  • Ensuring that the manuals approved by EASA, including any subsequent revisions are checked to determine that they meet the respective requirements and that they are provided to EASA for approval in time.
  • Supporting VP Sales to prepare commercial offers.
  • Communicate and coordinate the projects with EASA.
  • Implementing all EASA current regulations and certification specifications.
  • This position reports to the Head of Design Organisation (HoD) / CEO
    execution of maintenance and repair work on aircraft

Your Qualifications:

  • completed training as an aircraft mechanic / successful completion of retraining as an aircraft mechanic
  • You are required to have a Master’s Degree or a Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent
  • Previous experience as Head of Office of Airworthiness Office will be an advantage.
  • You need to have a minimum of 5 years‘ continuous experience within an EASA approved Part 21 J design organization at least in the position of a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE).
  • Proficient in the use of design, drawing, planning & maintenance related software applications as well as Microsoft Office.
  • Well-developed analytical and assessment skills to judge probable airworthiness risks.
  • Thorough knowledge of the relevant EASA Part 21 requirements / regulations and company procedures are expected.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Design Procedures, especially the procedures relevant to the classification, compliance demonstration, certification and continued airworthiness process.
  • First-rate understanding of the acceptable methods for certification and the current and historical certification specifications (CS23 and CS25).
  • Experienced in the Business Aviation Sector would be an advantage.
  • Good commercial understanding.
  • Fluent in English, at least basic in German (desirable)
  • Location of work will be Berlin, Germany

QM ASSISTANCE (M/W/D)

 

Key Responsibilites:

  • Safety risk management: identify hazards, document reported hazards, maintain hazard register
  • Risk analysis and assessment: support in the analyse and assessment of risks, control of defined actions
  • Occurrence Reporting (internal & external occurrences, incidents, reports)
  • Preparation, performance, evaluation of internal and external audits
  • Follow-up / monitor, acceptance of corrective actions / measurements
  • Qualification / evaluation of supplier, sub-/contractor; supervise audit due dates; control list of approved supplier and LTB entries
  • Respond to external audit questionnaires
  • Make yourself familiar with regulation, new specifications,
  • Distribute information to relevant colleagues
  • Find out / summarise requirements of additional authorities, if necessary
  • Prepare revisions to handbooks (procedures, form templates,…)
  • Maintain / update released documents, distribution
  • Safety / Quality promotion, e.g. with newsletter
  • Communication (mainly internal)
  • Training – prepare and perform internal trainings
  • Collect information of external training (possible training provider, price, etc.), plan and book approved trainings, arrange/organise with the trainer, invite participants, follow-up of training e.g. collect feedback afterwards
  • Record personnel training and experience files; also temporary staff
  • Support with competence assessment e.g. by evaluated practical experience

Your Qualifications:

  • Different audit methods / basics of audits according to DIN EN ISO 19001, e.g. by attending a special training, training certificate is an advantage but not required
  • Social competence in line with audits (objectivity, fairness, open-mindedness)
  • Good knowledge of national, European and international regulations relevant to the assignment
  • Knowledge to applicable officially recognised standards regarding audits and safety management systems incl. risk management
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures
  • Good knowledge of different audit techniques
  • Knowledge of error investigation / root cause analyses
  • Good command of English
  • Human Factors Training (Initial and Continuation), current training certificate is an advantage but not required
  • Fuel Tank Safety (Phase 1 initial only), training certificate is an advantage but not required

Aircraft mechanic (M/W/D) Cat-A, Cat-B1, Cat-B2

 

Your tasks at BBA may include:

  • execution of maintenance and repair work on aircraft
  • visual and functional checks on the airframe and engines
  • findings and documentation of the work carried out
  • coordination and distribution of daily tasks
  • active participation in projects of our development company (Part-21 J)
Your skills:

  • completed training as an aircraft mechanic / successful completion of retraining as an aircraft mechanic
  • required professional experience in aviation
  • professional experience in Business Aviation preferably on our aircraft types
  • preferably good knowledge of technical English
  • high level of commitment, team spirit, and motivation
